DATING THESE DAYS IS A SPECIAL KIND OF HELL.
But you keep trying—because being alone is somehow worse.
You know who you are—you’re strong, confident, self-assured, and a total catch. So why is it so hard to find someone to do life with? Instead of dancing in the kitchen with your one true love, you’re endlessly swiping through profiles and lowering your standards or questioning your worth with every day you don’t match. If anyone does show they’re interested, you push them away when you know you’d be yelling at your TV screen if someone pulled this shit on Love is Blind.
Or maybe you’re in a relationship and you feel that composed, self-assured version of yourself changing into someone else. You cling to your partner out of fear they’ll leave you—but the need for constant reassurance is pushing them away. You might find yourself repeating patterns or talking in circles, having the same fight over and over and over again. Even though you wanted this more than anything, you’ve never felt less secure.
You feel like…
There’s got to be something wrong with you. You watch all your friends getting into relationships, or getting engaged (or maybe married!) while you’re still looking for your person.
People on dating apps aren’t even real. They’ll send a quick “hey,” and then you’ll never hear from them again with no explanation. And you’re starting to wonder why you even keep trying.
You’re losing your freaking mind. Your relationship is all you think about to the point that you can’t focus at work or be present with your friends. You’re crying at random moments or overcome by panic. You overanalyze their behaviour, their texts, their Instagram stories—looking for proof you’re loved or a reason to leave.
You’re not even sure if you should be with this person. You feel disconnected, you’re arguing all the time, and you’re not getting your needs met. Even the smallest things can set you off in a way that feels uncontrollable. You need someone to talk to, but it’s not something you can bring up to your family or friends because they won’t understand.
Everyone you date is a project to fix. Sure, you might see the red flags—or not—but you want to be in a relationship so bad. So you settle for someone emotionally unavailable even though you promised yourself you’d never do this again.
No, you’re not crazy—dating and relationships are fucking hard.
Here, we can acknowledge that and find ways to make it less painful.
OUR APPROACH
Listen, we understand that you’ve been going through it. There’s nothing easy about modern dating and relationships, so we encourage you to let it all out. We hold space for you to vent your frustrations, your fears, the things that make you want to punch a pillow and then scream into it.
While you do that, we’ll be listening to understand what got you here. Maybe there are behaviours that you learned from past relationships or experiences that may have kept you safe at one point but aren’t working for you anymore.
When we discover the under-the-surface stuff, we can get practical. And we will—because a strong relationship can be so rewarding, and we want that for you.
The first step is to help you understand what healthy relationships look like. And know what they don't look like—the red flags you’ve maybe been spotting and explaining away and the behaviour you've been tolerating because you weren't sure if you were allowed to want more
This is the work that a vent sesh with your friends won’t cover. It can help to build your self-worth back up from the inside so you don’t fall back into the habit of perfectionism and people-pleasing that's been keeping you small. We’ll also give you the communication tools to say what you need, and the awareness to know what it feels like to actually be heard. If you're in a relationship that's lost its spark or is stuck on repeat, we'll work on that too.
This is how you walk into a new relationship—or a new era of the one you’re already in—with the confidence of who you are, what you deserve, and how to get it in a sustainable way.
DATING THESE DAYS IS ROUGH. IT’S OKAY TO ASK FOR HELP.
With therapy you can...
Understand what a healthy relationship looks like, stop wondering if you’re asking for too much, and realize where you can be asking for more.
Go on a date and spend the night evaluating whether you like them, instead of performing who you think they want you to be.
Hang on to a sense of calm, security, and identity in a relationship—even when you really like the person and are desperate for them to feel the same.
See your patterns clearly enough to avoid bringing them with you into a new relationship—and feel confident that your next relationship will be different because of it.
Swipe through the apps—without losing your mind—with a clearer sense of when someone is worth your time and when they're not.
Say what you need in a relationship without swallowing it or turning it into a blowup—and know what it feels like to be heard.
You deserve relationships where you can shine as your genuine, beautiful self.

Your sessions will be specifically for you, as an individual, to understand your own actions, work through your own experience of dating and relationships, and show up differently moving forward. You don't have to be in a relationship to benefit from this. You just have to want something to change. Understanding your patterns, your triggers, and what you're actually looking for before you're already attached to someone is what makes the next relationship look different.

Yes. We’ll give you a space to sit with your thoughts and feelings about your relationship without having to manage how your partner, your family, or your friends receive them. This is a judgment-free space to speak your truth.

Every therapist on our team is a master's level registered social worker with specialized training in attachment, relationships, and the patterns that tend to show up in dating and love. Couples therapy focuses on the relationship as its own entity—both people in the room, working on the dynamic between them. This is different. Individual relationship therapy is just about you. It's about helping you understand yourself well enough that the relationships you build—or the one you're already in—actually work.
